This time of year is prime for picking grapes and sipping pumpkin spiced brews! Palate pleasing wines are in high demand at your local vineyards and so are winery weddings. Do you prefer a good stout over a glass of pinot grigio? Have your wedding at a local brewery. If you want to get your wedding party more involved, go to a local vineyard and help with the harvest. Pack a picnic lunch and sip some fine wines after the picking’s done. Choosing a vineyard for your wedding location is a great way to save on décor by using the natural backdrop for your pictures.

 Vineyard and Brewery Weddings

Collect corks from bottles of wine and cut slits in them. You can slide slips of paper with your guest’s names on them and use the corks as place card holders. Send a save the date on a wine bottle label with minimal packaging. Guests can save the wine for a special occasion and reuse the bottles. Use real grapes on your wedding cake or green and purple grapes with swirling vines made of fondant. There will be less waste after the cake is cut and no plastic toppers used!

For a brewery wedding you can feature an “I Do” brew with you and your loved one’s names on the beer labels as favors for your guests. You can also use bottle openers made with recycled materials as place cards or send them as save the dates in the mail. A fondant keg cake with the bride and groom sitting atop it is a fun and quirky cake for a brewery celebration! A brewery's dark wood interior and red brick walls give a warm, rustic vibe for your wedding photos and is the perfect place to celebrate.
