In this age of identity theft, more and more people are shredding documents on a regular basis. You used to have to bring your documents to a recycling center to shred them. Now, home paper shredders are cheaper than printers.

Recycled paper is one of the eco-friendliest materials for wedding decorations and accessories. It’s already been used once, so it’s “vintage” in the environmentally-conscious sense of the word.

There’s nothing more beautiful than natural wood: unvarnished, lightly adorned, and directly from the forest. Wood is neutral in color so it will complement any palette. Of course, many products on the market are made from felled trees, trees that would have lived for a hundred more years, towering high above. Instead, look for wedding products made from trees that have already fallen.

I’m always advocating electronic invitations since they’re so much cheaper and more eco-friendly than the paper kind. But in a way it’s disingenuous because I used paper invitations for my own wedding.
