Eco-Wedding Tour

Green Bride Guide's first ever Eco-Wedding Tour kicks off this January in Pheonix, AZ!

What is Green Bride Guide’s Eco-Wedding Tour?

The Eco-Wedding Tour is a 10-stop bridal show experience designed to gain nationwide attention for the growing green wedding movement. The Green Bride Guide has partnered with the leading independent wedding show producers around the country to promote green alternatives to brides-to-be. At each show, attendees are invited into an interactive Green Wedding Pavilion, where they can experience green alternatives for every aspect of wedding planning firsthand.

Sip and Savor

Swapping out petroleum-based plastic straws for fun and funky paper straws will add pizzaz to your cocktails and can reduce the throwaways from your reception! Biodegradable straws, like these retro and vintage themed ones from Green Party Goods, are handcrafted from renewable paper sources and soy inks. If you are having your caterer compost food and paper waste, make sure they grab the straws as well!

Plan a Green Destination Wedding

Oftentimes a small destination wedding has less of an environmental impact than a large, lavish affair back home. Find a smaller, all-inclusive eco-resort or lodge that offers luxury accommodations and spa experiences, but will also provide ecotour options like bird-watching, safaris, and kayaking. Pair terms like "all-inclusive resort" with "organic" "eco" and "green" in your search engine to find a list of options. If you want to go to a larger "club" resort, Beaches and Sandals are now Green Globe 21 certified and offer all-inclusive beach vacations and wedding packages.
