What is Green Bride Guide’s Eco-Wedding Tour?

The Eco-Wedding Tour is a 10-stop bridal show experience designed to gain nationwide attention for the growing green wedding movement. The Green Bride Guide has partnered with the leading independent wedding show producers around the country to promote green alternatives to brides-to-be. At each show, attendees are invited into an interactive Green Wedding Pavilion, where they can experience green alternatives for every aspect of wedding planning firsthand.

How is Being Part of the Eco-Wedding Tour Different From Participating in Other Shows?

Instead of the “same old, same old” booth-style exhibition, participating vendors are part of a green wedding experience for brides, in which every aspect of wedding planning is represented. Upon entering the space, brides are given a free Green Bride Guide recycled SWAG bag filled with samples and other goodies. Attendees move through the large space, set up to mimic the chronology of wedding planning, and collect materials and samples along the way. Did we mention that the booth itself is handmade in the USA from eco-friendly materials? About "The Wedding Forest" 

 The "Wedding Forest" is the graceful marriage of form and function come to life through sustainable materials. The recycled cardboard trees create the structural stability for the booth. Green designer, Andee Ferrer, and Zach Rotholz of Chairigami utilized the inherent strength of corrugated cardboard while allowing the entire booth to be flat packed, saving on shipping cost and lowering the booths environmental impact. Each piece is part of a modular system, this design allows the booth to be modified as necessary accommodating several vendors and different configurations at each show, it also allows for damaged or heavily worn pieces to be replaced on an individual basis adding longevity and flexibility to the design. 

Andee Ferrer is a New York based designer educated in both graphic and interior design.She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Miami University in Oxford, OH and graduated top of her class from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY with a Masters in Interior Design. Her professional experience in fashion, architecture, and design helped form her graceful yet functional design aesthetic. Andee has worked as an interior designer at Robert Siegel Architects and Peter Marino Architect for both retail and residential clients. Her work at Peter Marino included the design of over 20 Louis Vuitton stores throughout the world. Since starting her own firm in 2011 she has done exhibition design work for The Green Bride Guide and interior design for several private residential clients in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
