Debbie and David donated money to the shelter at which they met, and stated that on the placecards left at each guest's seat. The officiant, Reverend Richele Eraso is a friend of theirs and she offered to marry them for no charge. They decided to donate the money they would have spent on this to another local animal shelter in her name.
