Tamsyn Jones and Chris Witte were married on October 29th, 2011 at Second Creek Farm Bed and Breakfast near Owensville, Missouri.
Tamsyn and Chris met on a frigid February morning in 2003 at the University of Missouri-Columbia (Mizzou). She was a first year graduate environmental journalism student working on an investigative story about the serious problem of invasive "jumping" Asian carp in the Missouri River. Chris had graduated from Mizzou with a degree in fisheries biology and was the field technician on the river that day.
They were both intensely curious about each other from the start and their first interaction was rather memorable. Tamsyn had to wear waders to protect herself from the freezing water and slime. Since she had never worn them before, a rather clumsy attempt at putting them on ensued and Chris helped her.
Although various internships, jobs, and travels afar kept their relationship at a standstill for some time, they both got back together for good and now enjoy each moment spent with one another camping, hiking trails and exploring the great outdoors.
