Real Green Weddings
Anna Hirsh and Chris Sachse were married on August 30, 2008 on a friend's farm in Cornelius, Oregon.
About the Couple
Anna and Chris met in Los Angeles, introduced by a mutual friend. Chris had just gotten back from a solo trip to Paris, which, Anna admits, “made him ridiculously cool in my eyes.” They became friends and began dating after about a year. Chris proposed to Anna in Central Park on June 17, 2007. Her engagement ring was a stunning Art Deco emerald ring that Chris's father had once bought for his mother.
The Decision to Go Green
Although Chris and Anna were not on a mission to be green, they made many eco-friendly choices that seemed natural to them during the planning of the wedding. This included a number of DIY projects, and some good-old fashioned hard work to prepare the location where they would be married.
