Real Green Weddings
Jenn and Lee were married on June 26, 2010 in Bowen Island, British Columbia.
About the Couple
Jenn, a community developer and facilitator, and Lee, a writer and biology lab instructor, met online and went on their first date four days later. They took a stroll along the ocean, and enjoyed a cup of tea together. Jenn invited the groom to a potluck hosted by her friends that same night, and Lee courageously said yes. Their second date spanned four days and they realized then that something special was happening between them. Three weeks later, on a beach under a bright moon, they shared with each other that they wanted to spend their lives together.
Their Decision to go Green
Jenn and Lee's wanted to provide inspiring and fun opportunities to connect and relax at their wedding, while minimizing their impact. The couple viewed their wedding as an opportunity to act in alignment with the green values they already have, while getting creative together and cultivating relationships among their loved ones.
