Kate was determined to buy an eco-friendly wedding dress, but had a hard time finding one she liked. She finally located the perfect dress one day when her car broke down. "When my car died I ended up with an hour to kill in a part of town I rarely spend time in. In the back of a small Asian boutique I found a dress that was everything I didn't want (beaded satin with straps). When I tried it on it fit perfectly. It was the only white dress in the store, and I soon discovered why it was there - it had been badly damaged and was being sold off for fabric at a steal. I brought the gown to a tailor and she was able to remove the stained fabric pieces. The train was the worst part, but the seamstress was able to fashion a shawl out of the remaining material."
Barry wore a suit that belonged to his great uncle by marriage.
