Real Green Weddings
Jackie invited her bridesmaids to pick out their own dresses and shoes to ensure that they would get something they could wear again. The couple also made some of the bridesmaids' jewelry as gifts to their bridal attendants. For the groomsmen gift, they made their green shirts, yellow ties, and Converse shoes that they wore on the big day.
Jackie used Etsy to purchase the flower girl headbands, her earrings, Dave’s cufflinks, handmade silk flowers to be used in place of corsages, and the rest of the bridesmaid jewelry. Jackie’s friend created the handmade ring pillow for the ceremony out of a recycled dish rag, and two other friends creatively made Jackie’s blue garter. Jackie plans to sell or donate her wedding dress, purchased from Bellevue Bridal Boutique, so that it can be reused.
The bride's makeup was done by her childhood friend from Kaarin Boyd Designs.
