The couple included many DIY projects into their wedding planning.
Jackie used vintage recipe card holders purchased from Etsy to hold the seating cards. The couple used handmade garlands to decorate the trees at cocktail hour as well as the tent for the buffet. They used chalkboard paint on salvaged doors and frames to create chalkboards for menus, the program, and the directions sign.
Two of Jackie's best friends who run an Etsy shop called Ravenna Girls crafted the needle-felted birds used for cocktail hour décor and a recycled fabric wreath for the door to the barn. Other friends helped make the napkin rings and seating cards out of recycled cardboard tubes and recycled thrift store fabrics. The table numbers and signs were made out of recycled wine bottles.
