The couple exchanged vows outdoors in Hausbarn Heritage Park. Their reception was held inside the beautiful German Konferenz Center, within walking distance of the ceremony site.
The Heritage Park preserves the German-American culture of the Manning community, and Rachel and Derek supported the non-profit foundation by providing tours for all of their guests as part of their gift.
Invitations
By creating and designing their own wedding website with an online RSVP option, the couple saved both money and the environment. Save-the-date cards, invitations and thank-yous were printed locally on recycled paper. Save-the-dates were sent out as postcards to immediate family only, to eliminate excess paper usage. Thank-yous were also sent as postcards.
