Both Chris and Tamsyn are very conservation-minded people. Chris grew up on a 110 acre farm near Rosebud, Missouri. Nestled in Missouri's northern Ozark mountains, he spent most of his free time as a child exploring the dense woods of the property, playing in the creek and hunting with his father. He was taught early on to respect the natural cycles of the animals he hunted. All of these experiences helped form his desire to protect the Ozark Mountains and value the diversity of ecosystems around him.
Tamsyn grew up in Pittsburgh and was fascinated by nature from her earliest memories. As she grew up and began to understand all the negative impacts that human actions have on the environment, she decided to pursue a career and a lifestyle that reflected her belief in protecting this planet.
When they decided to get married they knew they would do all they could to respect the earth and reflect their connection to the land in their wedding day and design. Tamsyn and Chris wanted to avoid overconsumption and create a wedding that was more about them than about consumerism and constant spending!
