The couple rented tables and chairs from a local community market to fill their reception space. In addition, Jenn and Lee borrowed tablecloths, lights, cloth, and dishes to decorate the reception hall. In the spirit of making their wedding a collaborative effort, the couple hosted a lantern making party and craft table to create a homemade lantern lit reception with used mason jars.
The bride and groom gifted their bridal party with locally made pottery, and their guests received homemade CDs as favors. Jenn and Lee encouraged guests who wanted to give them a wedding gift to "hold to the principles of environmental sustainability, simplicity, and reduction of ‘stuff.’”
