Real Green Weddings
The couple set the tone for their green wedding by sending tree free Bodhi Leaf Cards for invitations. These unique invitations are handmade from Lokta bush trimmings in Nepal and are meant to be reused by simply replacing the message insert inside the card. In Nepal, the older the card the greater the value, and the couple hopes to receive a few of their own invitations back over the years. Once a card grows old enough, recipients can frame them and place in their homes for good luck. Guests were asked to RSVP via email or phone call to save paper and the cost of sending them back.
Place cards were made of 100% recycled paper and served a duel purpose. Not only did the place cards tell guests where to sit, but guests were encouraged to write messages to the couple on the inside then hang them on a tree for decoration.
