Real Green Weddings
One of the most unique elements of the wedding was the homemade beer. Pete, who has over a decade of home-brewing experience, began four months in advance. He brewed five different types of beer, five gallons of each type. Once the “sometimes non-glamorous work” of brewing was completed, the couple gave each beer a unique name: Shplikes Stout, Alpine Col Alt, K'vetcheveisen, Double Mitzvah IPA, and St. Bernard Strong Golden. They created banners for each beer, with a description of it and the story behind its name. Working with the caterer, Jackie and Pete paired each beer with a local Sonoma cheese to give their guests a truly unique tasting experience.
