Real Green Weddings
As self described “foodies,” who met at a food co-op, it is easy to predict that fresh, local, and organic foods are very important to both Laura and David. The couple started the wedding weekend by hosting a lobster bake, with locally caught lobster, at a nearby park. The reception menu was a group effort, with friends, family and a catering company serving a delicious variety of foods. The couple was able to source locally caught lobster, as well as local cheese and produce. Lara and David worked with Henry and Marty Catering to provide guests with local grilled lamb and fish and a variety of other organic items. The wedding cake was made with love by Laura’s sister Anne. In an effort to avoid wasting leftover foods, the couple hosted a brunch the day after the wedding so guests could mingle and enjoy some leftovers.
