All of Charley and Kevin’s hard work and planning resulted in their perfect day, with no regrets.
At the start of the planning process, they struggled as they were bombarded with a lot of potential great ideas and traditions to incorporate into their special day. However, they stayed focused on what was most important to them: having a small wedding and celebration that was about them and their families.
“Being open to letting our friends and family help out and reusing the things that we found gave us a wedding that could only have been ours, and without all of that, it would have turned out totally different,” the couple shared with us.
To engaged couples looking to plan their own meaningful celebrations, Charley and Kevin have some advice: “Choose a few things that are most important to you, whether it be location or time of year, and let those things drive your planning. Use the opportunity of throwing a wedding celebration to support local vendors who care about the earth and their community.”
