Real Green Weddings
The couple hired a local mother and daughter pair to cater the reception dinner. They chose seasonal and local ingredients for their late summer-inspired dishes as well as some delicious homemade desserts, such as shortcakes with local berries and cream and scrumptious carrot cake from the caterers’ old family recipe.
For the beverage selection, Charley’s parents brought some wine and beer from their home in Missouri, and the couple purchased wine from the nearby Abingdon Winery for a little tasting time during the cocktail hour.
Some of the vendors for the big day, including the DJs, photographer, and officiant, are friends and family of the couple, helping to keep it all feeling close to home.
