Incorporating nature’s beauty into the wedding can take the place of some decorations. The gardens at Clay Hill Farm providing a serene setting for Amy and Douglas' ceremony.
Flowers were provided by Blooms Flower Shoppe. This local business recycles plastics, paper and cardboard from their shipments, composts floral and green waste, uses local soy and beeswax candles for events instead of paraffin (which is toxic and made from petroleum waste) and uses seasonal flowers when appropriate. They also put their plants in biodegradeable bamboo pots which can be planted in the earth.
The bride and groom also chose a cool decorative option in the form of an ice sculpture by Wicked Good Ice, carved by hand in New Hampshire.
