Real Green Weddings
The bride and groom began their green process by using electronic invites. Guests RSVP'd on the website so no paper was used for both the invites or RSVP's.
To reduce carbon emissions, the ceremony and reception were held in the same place. The reception hall was also part of the catering company, so the caterer did not have to travel with food.
Create Catering focuses on organic, sustainable and local produce. Abi and Craig chose dishes that incorporated in-season produce that was available in the area. The beets served at the wedding came from the owner of Create Catering's own farm! All of the linens, dishes and flatware belonged to the caterer and would be reused, so there was no waste generated!
Several of the wine choices were organic and biodynamic and the beer was all local.
