David proposed while the two were on vacation in Hawaii, with a ring crafted by a local independent jeweler using the antique diamond from his grandmother's engagement ring. His wedding band was inlaid with recycled platinum from the same ring.
The couple registered with the I Do Foundation, a gift registry site that donates a portion of all sales to a chosen charity at no cost to the bride and groom.
