Real Green Weddings
Jeff was a marine biologist before becoming a firefighter and grew up in and around the ocean. Jamie grew up in an avid outdoors family, hiking and camping in the mountains. The bride and groom felt that their relationship reflected a meeting of the ocean and the mountains, like the beauty of the Mendocino coastline. Their wedding ceremony took place at the Mendocino Headlands State Park in the middle of a Cypress grove.
Additionally, the opening where they stood during the ceremony opened up to the wind swept bluffs and turquoise waters 50 feet below. Later on, our reception was held at the Crown Hall, a historic building from 1901, built by Portuguese settlers. The building reflected Jamie's Portuguese heritage and our appreciation for historic preservation of buildings.
