Real Green Weddings
After the wedding, the newlyweds escaped to The Wildwood Inn in Estes Park, CO. The Wildwood Inn was the first independently owned motel to go green in Colorado. The setting was quiet and beautiful, the staff friendly and attentive.
"Because of the size of our family, a large wedding was inevitable," Keri reflects, "Therefore, we thought, there is no other time in life when we will have such a large audience. Let's make this wedding about more than us. We feel really great about the impact we have had. We may not have changed the world...but we definitely opened some minds."
Perhaps due to good karma from their efforts to green their celebration, Keri and Michael were thrilled to discover, upon their return home from their honeymoon, that they are expecting their first child! The baby is due in May, and the parents-to-be are already planning for their newborn's eco-friendly lifestyle. Congratulations, Keri and Michael!
