The couple gave the bridesmaids the freedom to choose their own dresses for the wedding. The only requirement was that they be in a warm color to go along with the color scheme. “I loved the idea that they could express themselves a little rather than looking like some singing group from the 60s,” Emily told us.
The maid of honor purchased her dress from Lirola, while another bridesmaid bought hers with the idea to dye it to wear at another wedding. One bridesmaid, Kate, even made her own dress as well as the adorable fairy flower girl outfits. Emily gave each of her bridesmaids different pieces of jewelry from Etsy, Lady Adorned Jewelry, Mama Beth Bling, and Everyday Fairytale.
As for the bride, she wore handmade silk barrettes in her hair from Gardens of Whimsy, and she held a purse from Bagatelles and Co. Her favorite part of her ensemble? She carried an entirely edible herbal bouquet, also made by Kate, that included myrrh, dill, lavender, flowering basil, coriander seeds, and fresh hops. The bouquet was held together by a hand dyed silk ribbon similar to the one she wore as a sash around her dress.
