Real Green Weddings
Matt and Emily are not the only ones in the family who are passionate about going green. Emily’s father Jonathan and his wife Kathleen worked with Envinity Builders for several years in order to construct a eco-friendly home in Centre County Pennsylvania. The house is complete with rainwater collection, passive solar, active solar, and structural insulated panel construction, along with many other green features. The property includes a hill that overlooks Mount Nittany and a small town called Linden Hall, and this was the spot that Matt and Emily chose to be wed. In order to get ready for the big event, Jonathan sowed the soil around the site with wildflower seeds. This not only helps to prevent erosion, but it also attracted butterflies to the area during the ceremony.
