Honeymoon
For their honeymoon, the couple went to Saint Simon's Island on the coast of Georgia. Danya's great aunt and uncle have a condo they were able to use there. While on vacation, they adopted a turtle named Griffin from Georgia Sea Turtle Rescue Center. As Matt explained, "He's in the turtle hospital because he has an undiagnosed condition that causes him to float. We get regular status updates during his treatment and recovery, and if he's rehabilitated we'll get two VIP tickets to his release. He's very cute as he tries to swim to the bottom of his tank to munch on a crab." Danya added, "We get pictures of him now every few weeks. In our living room we actually have a framed picture of Griffin. It was a fun part of the trip!"
Registry
Danya and Matt registered with Findgifts.com, a site that allows users to add all of their own links. "We wanted one of the first things to be 'Contribute to Habonim Dror.'" As they wrote on their site, "We would be happy for donations in our name to be made to the Habonim Dror Tnuat Bogrim (graduates' movement) in Israel. We met and fell in love through our participation in this group."
