The couple had mason jars with LED candles lining the path down the pier so their guests could enjoy a beautiful walk. They kept the mason jars, to re-use for future gifts, as well as the lights, perfect for decorating during the holidays or around the home.
The centerpieces at the reception featured a combination of candles and vases with flowers, which also served as nice parting gifts for some of the guests.
To add a personal touch into their wedding day, the couple put together wedding photos from their ancestors into silver frames and placed them around the foyer for guests to view as they walked in. The idea was inspired by Kate’s grandparents’ “family wall,” which featured pictures from family wedding portraits. The couple plans to create their own family wall in their new home using the photos and frames from their wedding day.
The card box used at Kate and Mark’s wedding started a tradition among their friends. They passed along the card box to a girlfriend who was married a month later, and another good friend plans to use it in her upcoming wedding.
