The bride and groom printed their invitations themselves. Kate then used the extra card stock from the invitations to create their unique table names. Each table name had meaning to the couple, and they included a picture of themselves with a small write-up to explain the name’s significance. Kate also used the leftover card stock for their family wedding pictures.
The couple also created a DIY photobooth at their wedding. Most of the props and costumes were brought from the couple’s home and were given to the guests to keep. For the backdrop, they used a window curtain, and they left their own digital camera to take photos.
The venue featured a built-in bench seating on the deck, and Kate and Mark used pillows to make the venue more cozy and inviting. They borrowed half of the pillows from Kate’s parents’ house and purchased the rest, and Kate’s mother created cases for each one out of burgundy fabric. The pillows are now used at the couple’s home.
Mark created the guest book. Instead of a conventional guestbook for guests to sign, the couple decided to do a photo album of the people in attendance at their wedding. “What I love about this the most is that it is not just pictures of Mark and myself, but all the people that mean the most to us, with their special messages, in once place,” the bride tells us.
