Real Green Weddings
Most guests traveled less than twenty miles to get to the wedding, and had to journey only a few hundred more feet down the road from Town Hall to attend the reception at a local restaurant.
Though Logan's family is in Florida, the couple decided a small wedding would be greener and logistically simpler than having over thirty family members fly up for the big day. They plan on having a re-commitment ceremony in six or seven years, after Logan takes his first active tour as a Marine. Though it will be a bigger affair, the couple plans to keep that shindig green as well, perhaps by budgeting for carbon credits to help offset the travel impact of their out-of-state guests.
Finally, the honeymoon (still yet to be taken) will be at Block Island, Rhode Island- a local destination!
