Real Green Weddings
To conserve on paper, the brides used postcards for their invitations as well as their save the dates.
Kelly and Natalie got married close to home at the Audubon Naturalist Society. This eco-friendly wedding venue allows couples to show their commitment to one another and the environment on their special day. The ceremony and the wedding reception were held at the same location and the brides asked their guests to carpool. Kelly and Natalie drove home in a Prius.
The couple built their own chuppah out of salvaged porch pillars. At the end of their wedding ceremony, the brides smashed an incandescent light bulb instead of a glass to symbolize their green wedding efforts.
