Real Green Weddings
Brian and Kim began their green efforts early on in their planning by sending out recycled paper save-the-dates and invitations to their guests. They chose to register for gifts via an online charity registry, in which couples can choose organizations to receive donations with each purchase made. Kim and Brian chose charities about which they are passionate: the CT Coalition for Environmental Justice and the Union of Concerned Scientists.
The couple also centralized information for their guests and saved on paper by creating an informative wedding website. Wedding guests could find directions and reservation information for lodging, an activities schedule, and other important information at the site.
