The favor bags were recycled kraft bags. Ian embellished the favor tags with a stamp she found "of a bride and groom and a W for my last name (Wright) and an L for Chris' last name (Lyon)." The script matched the design of their invitations.
Inside the favor bags: "A water bottle (to keep the hot TX sun from melting everyone), a small box of Longhorns candies (like turtles, and locally made by Lamme's Candies), a reusable 'Keep Austin Weird' mug we had printed from Absolutely Austin with our names and wedding date on the opposite side of Austin's well-known slogan for supporting local businesses, Alaska Wild Teas, which are herbal tea packets and, finally, small packets of Bluebonnets (TX State flower) and Forget-Me-Nots (Alaska state flowers) seeds. We were, in a sense, 'fusing' Alaskans and Texans within our gift bag [to represent each of our home states]."
