Real Green Weddings
The reception took place at the UConn Alumni Center, chosen because it was only a two minute walk to the hotel where guests were staying. It also helped to keep everything, including the vendors and ceremony site, within a close distance.
Taking Care of Tummies, a Coventry, CT-based company, catered the reception. The food was sourced from local farmers to provide fresh, delicious food to the guests.
All the wedding vendors were local--within a 15 mile radius and/or attending the wedding. Jacqui and Eric originally planned to send food leftovers to a shelter in the area. When that plan unfortunately didn't work out, they instead brought them home to share with family and friends to ensure no waste.
