It was important to Sara and Dean to give their guests something they would keep. "We wanted to give people a thank you that was really nice but also useful. I run a recycling program on Yale's undergrad campus and I can't tell you how many 'giveaways' I see in the trash that are not ever used!" The couple ended up giving guests reusable mason glass jars with lids "so that they could partake of our candy bar! Not only did we buy candy in bulk and save money, but this was also a fun thing for kids. Our guests were able to personalize what they took so they were more likely to actually enjoy and eat it, and the jars themselves are great for tea or coffee afterwards!"
