Real Green Weddings
Arti Upadhyay and Minesh Patel were married on December 19, 2009 at the Hilton Hotel in Parsippany, NJ.
About the Couple:
Minesh is originally from Los Angeles and Arti grew up in the NY area. They met in New York City and almost instantly realized they wanted to build a life together. Both are lifelong vegetarians and have always believed in conserving. Arti is the owner of NEUARUA, a vegan line of footwear, and Minesh works in marketing for a major drug company.
The Decision to Go Green:
While planning their wedding they realized that most guests only remember the food and the music. They chose to put the most effort into those two aspects, and conserve in other ways. They are both conservationists and hate waste, so most of their eco-friendly choices focused on limiting the amount of waste created by the wedding.
