Matt and Emily were married on August 7, 2010 in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania.
About the Couple
Matt and Emily met while attending Penn State, but post-college, the two had lost touch. They happened to reconnect ten years later through a social networking site and soon began dating. A year later, they moved to Northern California to begin their life together.
Decision to Go Green
According to the bride, the couple’s choice to have a green wedding was an “automatic and reflexive” decision. Matt and Emily wanted to incorporate their eco-friendly lifestyles into their big day. “When looking back I realize that each decision we made that made the wedding greener also made it more personal or pleasant,” the bride shared with us. They enjoyed the green aspects of their wedding because it made it special and unique without making any sacrifices.
