Real Green Weddings
Erich Gens and Melissa Wagner were married in October 2009 at the Texas and Pacific Railroad Main Waiting Room in Fort Worth, Texas.
About the Couple:
Melissa is a wedding planner who owns an eco-chic wedding and event coordination business in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas called Emerald Events and Wedding. Melissa also teaches other wedding planners how to create eco-friendly weddings without sacrificing elegance or beauty in a wedding planning class through the local community college. Erich is a software engineer, and Melissa calls him the smartest man she knows. They met online and enjoy cooking together as well as traveling (when they have the time.)
The Decision to Go Green:
Erich and Melissa didn't have to consciously make eco-friendly decisions since they have always lived their lives green. As a green wedding planner, the bride knew how to make the most effective choices to have the smallest environmental impact while still creating a memorable day.
