The bride and groom met through a close friend after being invited to spend a fun day hanging out and surfing. A week later, they had their first date. Carly and Stephen met as teenagers and were high school sweethearts. After some time apart in college, they reunited, and three years later, they tied the knot.
Decision to Go Green
“I love my city, and I want to do my part to keep it beautiful,†the bride tells us. The couple tries to be green across all aspects of their lives, so their wedding day was no exception. They wanted to make it easy for their guests to be green and to show that it can be done, even for such a large event.

Jason and Ashley Rose were married on September 26, 2009 at restaurant Zed 451 in Chicago.
About the Couple:
Ashley and Jason are both natives of sunny Florida. They met while performing in their university’s production of Cabaret, and from there, they began dating. After graduation, they moved to Chicago together, and three years later, Jason proposed.
Decision to Go Green:
The couple’s decision to go green had the most to do with their style and budget. They wanted to keep it small and personal with an emphasis on quality over quantity.

About The Couple:
Patti and Ben met through a mutual friend who correctly thought they’d be perfect for each other. Four years after their first meeting, they were engaged.
The groom is self-employed through his own marketing and brand strategy consulting firm, Blocshop. He also has a background in graphic design, which helped with elements of the wedding such as the save-the-date email, invitations, and favor-labels.

About the Couple:
Minesh is originally from Los Angeles and Arti grew up in the NY area. They met in New York City and almost instantly realized they wanted to build a life together. Both are lifelong vegetarians and have always believed in conserving. Arti is the owner of NEUARUA, a vegan line of footwear, and Minesh works in marketing for a major drug company.

Anna and Chris met in Los Angeles, introduced by a mutual friend. Chris had just gotten back from a solo trip to Paris, which, Anna admits, “made him ridiculously cool in my eyes.†They became friends and began dating after about a year. Chris proposed to Anna in Central Park on June 17, 2007. Her engagement ring was a stunning Art Deco emerald ring that Chris’s father had once bought for his mother.
